Dr. Park offers the following psychiatric services:
Initial Consultation: The first step is an evaluation to clarify what the problems are and what treatment would be best- this involves a thorough review of current complaints, history, as well as the risks and benefits of treatment options. Typically the initial evaluation involves one 90 minute session, though occasionally this may be extended by 30 minutes or followed by another 60 minute session extended evaluation within a week or two.
Psychotherapy: Dr. Park has been trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including cognitive-behavioral, time-limited and long-term dynamic psychotherapy among others. If therapy is indicated, she will work with you to formulate treatment goals and customize the therapeutic approach to your needs.
Medication Management: Psychotropic medications are often used either in combination with psychotherapy or alone to treat a variety of psychiatric conditions. If indicated, Dr. Park will work with you to safely utilize medication for your treatment plan in an evidence-based manner.
Telepsychiatry: Dr. Park has had training and experience in telemedicine prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and continues to conduct the majority of appointments via telepsychiatry. However, she also offers in-person visits if preferred, though masks may be required depending on COVID-19 community transmission levels.
Coordination of Care: If you are being referred for treatment by your existing therapist or physician, Dr. Park would be happy to provide medication management or consultation while coordinating with your health care team members.
Fees:
- $1050 ($1000 with Zelle/ACH transfer) for 90 minute initial consultation
- $630 ($600 with Zelle/ACH transfer) for 50 minute session (psychotherapy with or without medication or continued initial evaluation sessions)
- $315 ($300 with Zelle/ACH transfer) for 25 minute session (medication management only, follow up visits)
- $150 per 15-minute increment for any other professional services such as preparation of documents, letters of accommodation, disability paperwork, telephone correspondence, or any other services that you may request
Payment:
You may pay with Zelle/ACH transfer, cash, check or credit card- however, Dr. Park offers a discounted rate for payments made by Zelle/ACH transfer/cash. Dr. Park will ask for a credit card to be kept in your file in order to confirm your first appointment, but will inform you before any charges.
Cancellations and No-Show Policy:
If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, Dr. Park requires at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellation of the initial appointment with less than 48 hours or failure to show to an initial appointment will mean forfeiting the 50% deposit fee. Cancellations for follow-up appointments that occur with less than 48-hour notice or failure to show (DNKA) will be charged the full fee for the session. Please note that insurance companies do not reimburse for missed sessions or late cancellation fees.
Insurance and MediCare:
Dr. Park does not currently accept any insurance policies in her private practice, and as such would be considered an “out of network” provider for PPO plans. If you choose to pursue reimbursement for your sessions, Dr. Park can provide a “superbill” to submit to your insurance company, but please be advised that reimbursement rates are variable and some plans may not reimburse at all.
Also, Dr. Park is not a Medicare provider and has opted out of Medicare. This means that if you are qualified for Medicare and would like to see Dr. Park, you must enter into a private contract in which you agree not to bill Medicare for any services provided by Dr. Park. You may still be in treatment with other Medicare providers even if you enter into a private contract with Dr. Park.
Good Faith Estimate:
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act (“No Surprises Act”), health care providers are required to provide a Good Faith Estimate of the expected charges both orally and in writing, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care services. Please let Dr. Park know if you would like to receive a Good Faith Estimate, which will be based upon the fees as listed above. If you do not have insurance or will not be pursuing reimbursement from any insurance, you will be provided a Good Faith Estimate with your initial intake paperwork.
